Contract Type: Permanent, full time


Job Purpose

The role is responsible for providing 1st level Master Data support on all Finance objects for Finance Shared Services Centres users as well as Plant Finance Teams. As SAP AF EMEA core model owner, the role ensures consistent application of the model by providing training, coaching and through general system maintenance.


Job Dimensions & Scope


Key stakeholders include -

  • SAP Business process experts (Business Transformation Office Team)
  • BG internal clients requiring SAP accounting processes support (mainly Finance SSCs and Finance Teams at site)
  • Project Teams implementing ERP changes incl. third-party consultants

Principal Accountabilities


  • Maintain the Master Data of the Finance objects within the SAP templates and associated softwares (e.g. Cost and Profit center structure, chart of accounts…)
  • Actively participates in projects for the evolution or migration of information systems in the field of finance
  • Raise and monitor improvements/changes requests and/or incidents resolution queries in line with the AF EMEA IT procedures and tools (Tickets service Now, Change request...)
  • Participate in the optimization of accounting processes, especially those supported by SAP
  • Act as a facilitator, providing SAP Finance support and expertise
  • Develop and maintain a strong partnership with the SAP Business process experts (Business Transformation Team)
  • Ensure consistency with BG Finance Target Operating Model
  • Create and maintain the associated documentation (e.g. training…) in partnership with Finance SSCs
  • Provide on-boarding training to new Finance users on Master Data tools

Qualifications/Requirements


  • Formal Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in finance, accounting or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in accounting and master data analysis
  • Proficiency within the SAP environment (ECC6 and S4 HANA knowledge mandatory and MDG Finance considered an asset)
  • Good knowledge of internal controls (ideally SOX)

  • Good working knowledge of Excel
  • Problem-solving skills & customer orientation
  • Strong analytical skills, extreme attention to details & rigor
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team
  • Strong business acumen with ability to challenge stakeholders at various levels of the organisation
  • Fluency in English is mandatory, French considered an asset
